Itinerary:
Day 01: Departure from Quito to Manta by plane
(45 minutes flight). Ecuador
Travel Arrival to Manta and transfer to
Puerto López. Lunch in Puerto López. Afternoon
visit the National Park Interpretation Center and one
of beautiful surrounding beaches. Dinner and overnight
in Puerto López. Introductory briefing about
the National Park.
Day 02: After breakfast visit the Agua Blanca
archaeological site museum, where we will find remnants
of one of the most important cultures in the America
Pacific coast (800 AC – 1500 AC). Lunch in Puerto
López. Afternoon visit the wonderful Los Frailes
beach. Ecuador Travel Back to Puerto López for dinner and overnight.
Briefing about next days activities and other subject
of interest.
Day 03: After breakfast departure to La Isla
de la Plata (1 ½ hours aprox.) Great chances
to see humped backed whales during the season (july
to october).
Ecuador Travel Full Day hike through the island looking
for wildlife. Box lunch in the island. Ecuador Travel Here we will
have the chance to find frigate birds, blue-footed boobies,
masked boobies among other amazing species. Back to
main land for dinner and overnight. Briefing about next
days activities and other subject of interest.
Day 04: After breakfast visit the Salango Museum
to learn more about the Pre-Columbian cultures of the
Ecuadorian Pacific Coast. Lunch in Salango in a sea-food
specialty restaurant. Ecuador Travel Afternoon visit to the fog forest.
Return to Puerto López for dinner and overnight.
Day 05: Ecuador Travel After breakfast early transfer to Manta
to take the flight back to Quito.
