Condor Trekking
This trekking lasts 4 days and goes between the valleys
of 4 mountains: Antisana 5.705 mts, Sincholagua 4.919
mts, Cotopaxi 5.897 mts, and Ruminahui 4.722 mts. Many
years ago in the Antisana highlands lived a great number
of condors, but the landlords of the Haciendas mistakenly
thougth that those birds captured the sheeps and calfs,
and started to kill them by putting poison on death animal
corpses.Ecuador Travel
When the people find out this, the "Salvemos
al Condor" project was created. During this trekking,
if the weather allows it, we can watch condors near the
Sincholagua, and see them while there are looking for
death animals to eat.
Day 01: We take south to Pintag, then to the Antisana
highlands thru the Hacienda Pinantura, and then to the
camping place at 3.840 mts. Ecuador Travel
Then after lunch wešll go
to the Antizanilla at 4.180 mts. At the afternoon wešll
return to the camp for dinner.
Day02: After breakfast, we load the horses and
start the walk to the base of the Sincholagua volcanoe.
This walk last around 7 hours to get to the next camp.

Day 03: This day we go to the high step of the
Sincholagua at 4.530 mts and then we go down to the Pita
river at 3.760 mts, this river Ecuador Travel
comes from the glaciers
of the Cotopaxi. This walk last around 6 hours, at night
we have a farewell dinner for the arrieros.
Day 04: Ecuador Travel This day we go to the Machay of the Ruminahui
at 4.100 mts. "Machay" means cave, on this cave we will
see a micro-ecosistem. This walk last 4 hours, and at
the afternoon our car will pick us up, to take us to the
Cotopaxi National Park museum and then to Quito.
Abaraspungo Trekking
This is one of the most beautifull long walks of the country.
It lasts 4 days and goes thru the Abraspungo valley, which
is located between the Carihuairazo Ecuador
Travel 5.146 mts and the
Chimborazo 6.310 mts. We do this trip on horses and with
llamas that carries the load, which gives the entire trip
a different touch.Ecuador Travel
Day 01: This day we start our trip from Quito,
by car, to the Urbina station at 3.300 mts. From there
we start our trekking thru the Andean valleys, this walk
last 9 hours, Ecuador Travel then after setting the camp wešll enjoy
a tipical dinner.
Day 02: After breakfast, we load the mules and
llamas to set our course to the next camp on the entrance
of the Abraspungo Valley at 3.960 mts. Ecuador
Travel On the way wešll
see indian huts and their harvest, is the perfect place
to learn about their culture and life style. This walk
will take about 6 hours. At night wešll enjoy dinner at
the camp.
Day 03: On this day wešll go to the Abraspungo
lagoon, which is located on the middle of the valley at
4.300 mts. This walk will take about 5 hours. On the afternoon
wešll enjoy the landscape from the camp, and we can have
a closer view and contact with the native people.Ecuador Travel
Day 04: This day wešll descend to the Chimborazo Faunistic
Producction Reserve at 3.600 mts. This reserve is in charge
of raise llamas and vicunas, with the proposit of raise
and then give them to the native families. The car will
take us from there to the Cunuyaco Terms at 3.600 mts.

Altar
(Capac-Urco) Trekking
Therešs a legend about this mountain that says: Capac-Urco
(that means, Great Hill) was flirting Carihuairazo, this
is the mountain that stands next to Chimborazo and itšs
supposes to be his partner, but one dark night, the fire
stars were falling down to both of them, sign of flirting
between Capac-urco and Carihuairazo, full of fury the
great Chimborazo ask for help to the Pacha Mama (Mother
Nature), and then a great fight took place between them,
in which Chimborazo won the battle by made Capac-Urco
explote and leaving him in what is today, the half of
what was a huge mountain that hundred years ago should
be bigger than Chimborazo.Ecuador

most spectacular because Altar with 5.322 mts is consider
one of the most beautifull volcanoes in Ecuador; this
trekking lasts 4 days and depending of the weather conditions

Day 01: Departure from Quito, we take south to
Riobamba, box lunch on the road and continue the trip
to Hacienda Releche were we stablish our camp and at night
wešll enjoy a typical dinner.Ecuador Travel
Day 02: After breakfast we go to the Valley of
Collanes, where our next camp is. During this course will
see different kinds of flora. Altar is located at the
occidental chain of mountains and has an exuberant flora
that includes orchids. This trekking last from 6 to 7

Day 03: After brekfast wešll go to the old volcanoe
charter, in were now is a beautiful lagoon call "Amarilla"

Treasure Trekking Program.
The Llanganates keep the mistery of the Incas Treasure,

Day 01: Departure from Quito early in the morning
to Ambato. Lunch on the road and then to the little town
of Poato at 2.400 mts. Here is where the journey begins

Day 02: The trekking starts getting into the mountain
chain at 4.100 mts. Were the next camp is stablished.
If the weather conditions alows it, we can enjoy a great

Day 03: We start going down from the highlands,
going thru the misty forest to the town of El Triunfo

Day 04: We take the car and go to the city of Banos,
in were is the chance to bath in to the termal waters,
the city is very intresting and therešs a lot of activities.
